We are now seeking an experienced Site Lead Senior Manager to head our Global Manufacturing Technology (GMT) department.

The candidate should have excellent leadership qualities and be able to communicate a vision and a roadmap and inspire colleagues. We are searching for someone who can see the big picture across the whole organisation, and preferably have experience from working in a global organization. The right candidate has a good understanding of business and enjoys being part of and leading change processes.

The GMT Site Lead Senior Manager provides leadership for the Scientists and Project Managers who have responsibility for the technology transfer of commercial products between internal and external sites and the transfer of new products from R&D into the production sites. The department also provide production and QC support for the manufacturing sites, and run projects related to supply risk and continuous improvement.

You will be expected to build close relationships with the site manufacturing, QC and QA teams, as well as the R&D teams and other sites in the Zoetis network, to ensure the projects get completed on time and within budget. This position will be responsible for managing a team of 8 to 12 colleagues located at 3 sites in Norway.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the GMT team within PHARMAQ part of Zoetis. Manage budget and spending and manage the administrative aspects of leading a functional group on site.
  • Ownership of supporting the performance of the manufacturing processes at the production sites. Manage improvement processes and identify new technologies which may be used in manufacturing or quality control.
  • Engage with stakeholders in the organization to ensure transfer of products and processes to the production sites, secure scale-up and robustness of processes, and sharing of technical knowledge.
  • Responsible for establishing team goals that align with R&D, GMT, and production sites’ goals and objectives, and ensure that the team is held accountable for achieving these.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant science or engineering field.
  • More than 10 years of experience, preferably from pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or packaging’s preferred.
  • Team/personnel leader experience. A successful track record of leading complex teams, as well as building strong teams and relationships.
  • Track record of continuous improvement and development, implementation and sharing of Best Practices in engineering and manufacturing.
  • Certified Six Sigma green belt and/or lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements for veterinary biologics manufacturing and development preferred.
  • Experience with risk-based decision-making.
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English.

 The main workplace for the right candidate at any of our sites in Norway: Overhalla, Kløfta or Oslo. The position will involve some business travel.
